Desktop version of Chrome has been updated to version 56, supported audio codec FLAC, new a flag for insecure HTTP connections and HTML5 instead of Flash. Chrome 56 for Android has also become available for download. In it the developers have fixed bugs, improved stability, added ability to open downloaded pages and files using the button to create new tabs, and more. Now Google has announced several new options for Chrome version 57.
A little less noticeable, but useful innovation is the support auto rotate when switching to fullscreen video playback. For example, if the video is widescreen, the device will include landscape mode and Vice versa. CSS Grid in Chrome 57 will make it easier to create designs for web sites, and support of Progressive Web Apps that are in test builds of Chrome Canary, will appear in Chrome Beta 57 in a few weeks.
